🌿 Meet the Maker: Liz King, MSHA, CPT (Future N.D.)

Hello and welcome. I’m Liz King—founder, herbalist-in-the-making, and the hands, heart, and hustle behind Mother Earth Hearth & Apothecary.

This space was born from something ancient in me—an inner knowing, a calling I’ve carried since I was young. Raised as the oldest of five in a vibrant, multi-cultural home steeped in holistic practices, activism, and earth-centered spirituality, I learned early how powerful the intersection of healing, truth-seeking, and community can be.

I’m a proud Navy veteran, healthcare advocate, certified personal trainer, and current doctoral student pursuing my Naturopathic Medicine degree. My professional journey has spanned nonprofit leadership, healthcare education, compliance, and patient advocacy—always rooted in service and guided by justice and care.

🌸 Reigniting the Hearth

This dream officially started in 2015, then paused when life demanded attention elsewhere. In 2024, during a transformative season of loss and growth, I was accepted into my naturopathic doctoral program—and with that, the flame that lit this work came roaring back.

Mother Earth Hearth is where I blend science and spirit, activism and artistry, rooted tradition and modern wisdom. It’s herbalism with soul, design with intention, and healing that begins in the everyday rituals of life.

🫖 What I Offer (and Believe In)

At the heart of every product and offering is the belief that healing is not one-size-fits-all—and that beauty, ritual, and nature are medicine too. I create handcrafted botanical remedies, plan to offer thoughtfully sourced teas and spices, make space for arboreal curiosities, and partner with the plants to support wellness at every level—body, mind, and soul.

My values are grounded in:

🪵 A Few Personal Notes…

When I’m not in the apothecary or studying, you’ll probably find me out in the woods, weightlifting at the gym, dog-sitting through Rover, or testing new plant-based brews on my wonderfully patient partner—a blue-collar union ironworker who supports every weird and beautiful idea I bring home.
